"Saturday 12th of January. 1 week after the Dakar Rally was cancelled for the 1st time in it's 30 year history. The terrorists threats seem to have been genuine so the French Government did the right thing. Better news yesterday as the ASO(?) announced the proposal of a race to replace this years Dakar from Hungary into other parts of Eastern Europe to be held in the Spring. A course is currently being rooted. It is also suggested that the Rally gets bigger and better next year and is likely to cross Australia. In the meantime we are planning to take on the World Cup with the nemesis. I have just driven the nemesis 3000 KM across Portugal, Spain and France and it has not missed a beat. I will keep the blog posted as more news comes online. A feature on the SpinVox nemesis is likely to be prominent in the next addition of Land Rover World and possibly auto sport."

"Monday 31st December, met with team bowler yesterday as the vehicles made their way to Portsmouth for the crossing to Bell Bare. Two race trucks, 1 T5 support truck, 2 Land Rovers, 4 race cars including the SpinVox Nemesis. The Nemesis looked fantastic with it's full livery. I leave for Portugal early Wednesday morning where we will do some testing of the vehicle prior to the scrutineering(?) which starts on Thursday. Once scrutineered(?), the vehicles can not be touched prior to the start of the race on Saturday the 5th of January. I'm now packing final items such as satellite phones, maps, food bars, oh, and some clothes. Enjoying the last few days of civilization with my family before the big off. Although we will be sleeping rough we do have the benefit of being in a French organised race where fresh food is flown in daily from France with French chefs doing the cooking. The first 2 days in Europe I intend taking easy as we get to know the new car to make sure there are no mechanical issues."

"Paul Mitson. Updating on the Nemesis Construction. Spent today in the factory getting ready for the Daka Rally. The car is still under construction with the engineers working 24 hr days with only 1 day left before the cars are loaded for the trip to Portugal by road and ferry. Nemesis taking shape with LCD displays and electronics nearing completion with body work now in place. 5:00am tomorrow morning the SpinVox corporate logos will be fitted to the vehicle. I will try and organise photographs for the Blog. These are now exciting days."

"Hi, it's Paul. Updating on the latest news regarding the Deca. Met with SpinVox photographer today for Pre Deca photos under bleak UK's skies. Plenty of concern amongst those part taking in the Deca regarding the killings in Moritaniya(?) this week of 5 French tourists. Our thoughts are with the families. We wait to here if this impacts on the rally. I am visiting the poll of factory tomorrow to see how the nemesis is coming together. So cars are being shipped to Lisbon from Sunday the 30th. If the car is now built the excitements can commence."

"Ah, Christmas Day. A whole day without doing anything to do with Dakar(?), what a privilege. Factory is open again this morning, Boxing Day. Now they start working through the wine lumes(?) with 4 wine lumes(?) to install in the Nemesis. That's on about stage 2 today. Obviously everybody's getting a little bit concerned about the time left for preparation. Progress is being made. Keep me posted."

"Paul Mitsun(?), been to the factory to see the build progress of the Nemesis. She's looking awesome running gear installed, wind looms and computer systems currently being installed. The countdown has commenced with only 9 days before we leave to Lisbon to start scrutineering(?) unless than 2 weeks for the right start. Feeling both nervous and excited and very anxious now to get on the way with most of the paper work behind us. All exciting stuff."
